Twisted Sister is an American Heavy Metal band from New York City.Their work fuses the shock tactics of Alice Cooper, the rebellious mood of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal, and the extravagant image of glam rock bands such as New York Dolls and Kiss, notably the makeup. Musically, the band implements elements of traditional heavy metal bands such as Judas Priest, along with a style that is similar to early glam metal bands. The band is generally categorized as glam metal for their earlier work, although the band does not consider themselves to be so. Glam metal is short for glamour metal.

They just released a new DVD and CDcalled ''Live at the Astoria".Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider reccently spoke to LeHighValleyLive.com about the band's newly released album.

"I've seen a lot of (the DVD), but I kind of lived it, you know?" Snider said. "It is different to see it in the house. I was particularly intrigued that I put 260 f-bombs into one show."It was our return to England after many years of being gone. It was a smaller venue, body-to-body people packed in there. It's something you can't achieve in a bigger festival atmosphere. If you ask me what I do best, what TWISTED SISTER does best, it's live performing," Snider said. "To the majority of people, that's what we're least known for, although we played many years before we got a record deal. I always thought that's how we would make our name. I never expected to be media darlings or be a hit on television or anything like that. With the DVD, people finally get a chance to take time to see what we're best at. It's funny, because people seeing me in my 50s, their jaw is on the floor. I'm like, you should have seen me in my (expletive) 20s."

"Live at The Astoria" captures the band at its most primal — igniting the crowd into a volcanic eruption of fist-pumping, head-banging, heavy-metal frenzy and proving heavy-metal knows no age.

This will be the best gift for any human being who listens to music. For people who are reading this,i would suggest buy one for yourself and buy one for your friend too.Twister Sister fans are very excited about this new release. They cant wait to see them live. But sadly they won't be coming to singapore because there isnt a very big fan base here. But hopefully they will be touring Australia early next year.So Twisted Sister fans have something to look forward too.Enjoy the recoerd if you buy it.

Rock In Peace
