Sorry about the late entry, was facing computer problems which lasted over a week.

And yup, here it is, the thing that gave me a headache on how to go about it. D;

Confession of a Terrorist

Summary:

The sole gunman, Kasab, who survived and was captured during the Mumbai attacks had confessed the terrorist plans of seizing hostages and making demands through dramatic calls to the media in the building.

They wanted a rooftop standoff with the police but found themselves surrounded, thus giving up the plan of the standoff and stayed in the building instead. They were all from the terrorist group known as Lashkar-e-Taiba. All the terrorist involved had at least attended six Lashkar camps on weapon handling, infiltrating of security, evading of pursuing security forces and much more.

The travel on speed boats before hijacking an Indian vessel to get into the country. Each of them was given a sack containing 8 grenades, an AK-47 rifle, 200 cartridges, 2 magazines and 1 cellphone for communication.

They started the attack from a train station followed by a hospital which they thought was an apartment. But when they tried to leave, they were barricaded by police vans and a shoot-out occurred, leaving his partner and a few Anti-terrorist squad members dead while he was injured and arrested.

My Opinion:

These people have lost their sanity. I can’t imagine a guy has 8 grenades walking down the streets of my block. That would be totally frightening and awful. So many are already left dead without the use of the grenades, imagining the pure destruction of what those grenades could have done definitely sent chills down my spine.

I hope Singaporeans are ready and prepared for such things to happen. One thing we need to know is how to handle emergency situations like this, staying calm and cool-headed would definitely help. Next thing is that, our government has been advocating the wiping out of the terrorists, all the more reasons we need to prepare. This is because we are running a risk of them attacking us when our country supports Anti-terrorism. It has nearly happened to us once but we manage to spoil their plans, though the guy escaped later.

This should not happen and all of us shouldn’t let our guards down just because it hasn’t happen to us yet, it hasn’t doesn’t it will not. So now we have got to keep a lookout for each other and be prepared for anything. But before that, I better finish my homework before Christmas.
