BOOK TITTLE: A WIZARD OF EARTHSEA

Brief summary…

This a book concerning a whole new magical world that consist of islands that make up the Archipelago and they are known as a whole as Earthsea.It is a world united by history and songs and controlled by wizards.The tale of the Ged is told here.

Ged whose use name was Sparrowhawk,was raised by his aunt until he could fend for himself.Then he worked with his father who is a smith.Then one day he heard his aunt chant strange words to call a goat to her.Curious he spoke the words aloud and found that he could control the goats.And so the aunt saw in him the making of power as a wizard.

Ged chose to leave his master to study the high arts at Roke(an island where they teach magic) and there he bested all but there came one who mocked him,Jasper.On one fateful night,driven by arrogance and rage he called upon a spirit to prove to Jasper who was greater but with it came great evil.A shadow was loosed into the world,a shadow that brings death to the world.

And so Ged must learn the secret on how to defeat the shadow that he has loosed upon the world or be destroyed and let the shadow wreck havoc upon all Earthsea.And the truth of what must done was hard to accept….

PROS:Highly enjoyable to read for those who enjoy science-fiction and stories concerning magic.

CONS:Practically I can’t think of any cons for this book.

Overall this book is highly enjoyable to read and if you don believe me then just go and read the book then.
