With the rising of China and India economic and population growths,accompanying with the upcoming Beijing Olympic,perhaps I think Asia is really going to be recognised as a power to be reckoned with in the world.However,is Asia able to hold on to the power for long, like how the West did for several centuries?

Can Asia really make it?

Let's just talk about the Beijing Olympic.
Ever since Beijing had been selected as the host for the 2008 Olympic,problems have been arising and people from all around the world are commenting and paying attention on how Beijing handle this big event.Indeed,Beijing made a reputation of being the first Asia's country to beat the rest of the West's countries for hosting the Olympic.It has been a glory for us to be part of Asia.It has also been reported widely that Beijing has been trying to change the world's impression of China after they knew they are hosting the event.Controlling the air pollution made by vehicles, making improvement of their environment and smoking banned in some places.People and even the old are also learning English so they can communicate with people from other countries during the Olympic period.These have increase the good impression of both Beijing/China and Asia,showing that we are keen for improvements and are capable enough.

However,Beijing failed to protect the Olympic fire during the Torch Relay and it was even extinguished at one of the country during the transferring of the torch.Some people still object that Beijing is hosting the event and attempt to put out the fire.This means Beijing still have to work harder in preventing this kind of thing to happen again.What I am hoping now is Beijing will have no problem running the whole event successfully next week.

Also,one thing to note is that the Beijing Olympic is not the reason that will make Asia recognised as a power to be reckoned with in the world.There are my other factors out there to make Asia hold the power in the world and not the West too.One to mention is the drop of the Western's economy and stock.Currency of US has also been dropping too.

In conclusion,Asia will be recognised as a power to be reckoned in the world soon but not due to the Beijing Olympic.
