Title:ASIA is er power 2B reckoned width

Asia is physically the largest continent in the world, if it is less than a power, then it would just be four letter name.

World cup soccer 2002, South Korea got into the top 4, the first Asian country in history to climb that height. Now something is happening like this again...

Beijing is hosting 2008 Olympics, everyone is excited, but I feel that Asia itself is not so united. China is like our solo force, they might just think that we are cheering for them, not so much of 'Asia' power I think. Just look at the 'fuwa's that China had set out, it spells out 'Beijing welcomes you', less of Asia's welcoming spirit.

So does it still counts as Asia a power to be reckoned with?

Of course it will be a yes, as Beijing is still part of Asia, and you can say that Asia is hosting the Olympics.

While there is still the other western countries, Asia should be catching up slowly. Power in numbers isn't it? You also have a 6 in 10 chance to be born in Asia, so we are in the '6'. Asia is something worth being proud for, you can also just say ' I'm proud of Asia ' for free.
