I felt that he cannot be entirely blamed for his actions (going around with rifle). People should look at his family history and background. His father was often in and out of jail whereas his mother was a drunkard and often treated him with much violence. This results in him growing up without any love from his parents.

He had a girlfriend when he was older, this might be the first time he was truly loved by a person. Thus, when his girlfriend broke up with him, he got very depressed. This led to him being emotionally not stabilised and maybe spark off all his actions.

I think he felt insecure emotionally and needed something to make him feel protected. Thus he brought the rifle out and carries it around with him.

If he was mentally abused, no matter what sentence meted to him will not make any difference to his actions after he is released. Thus the sentence is neither too light nor heavy. What he needed is counselling sessions to make him feel emotionally stabilised.

After being counselled, he will ‘wake up’ and such offence may not be committed already.

Personally, I am in favour of legalising the sale of organs. Some people might think that it is crazy to give up your organ for someone you do not even know. But it may just be the thing to save somebody’s life.

Imagine a patient going through dialysis every week, waiting for a suitable donor to come by with his time running out. You can still live healthily even after selling one of your kidneys. You are not at a loss entirely and can still save a life.

If sale of organs is made legal, people who want to help those who are in need will be able to donate their organs. This will save many patients as they will not need to wait for a donor to come by. Some people die before they found a suitable donor.

Making the sale of organs legal will prevent people from going overseas to get an organ in a black market. Legalising the sale of organs will ensure that the organs patients are going to receive are suitable for them and safe, which is a good thing.

However, people might just sell their organs just for the money. Over time, they will depend on selling their organs to support themselves and their family. Of course, it will be alright if you are just doing it once to get through a difficult part of your life.

So in all, I think that the sale of organs should be legalised with terms and conditions applied.
