1) I personally feel that the punishment for Teo is fair.

Firstly, the reputation of Singapore's Armed Forces had been tarnished by him. Being a NSF recuit, he should know the consequences of taking the rifle out of the camp and yet, he chose to commit the mistake. He had took the Oath of Allegiance to protect Singapore against all the threats yet, he had became a threat to the society.

Secondly, before he took the rifle out of the camp, he had went to three people and told them what he would do with the rifle. All the three tales he had told were not similar but, each tale he said wasto commit or crime. He had told the tales to his buddy, Ong Boon Jun and Lieuteuant Choo. As a Lieuteuant and a friend, they should try persuade him to stop him from doing foolish things.

Lastly, Mas Selemat is still on the loose. What if the rifle landed in Mas Selemat's hand? Will he use it to harm more people? By giving him a punishment of 110 months in jail and 18 strokes of cane, it can be also used as a warning to all NS men to convince them not to do foolish things.

2) I feel that the sales of organs is immoral. Other people might argue that the organs they sell could save people's life and earn some money but have they spare a thought for the poor? If everyone sell their organs at a high price and no one is willing to donate to the poor, then, what will happen to the poor?

Those people who have the bad intentions to earn the money will dupe the poor into selling their organs to them then resell them for a higher price. People that is in need of money will also do the illegal things to get the organs, for example, kidnapping.
