Book Review 2

Authors: Paul B. Thompson & Tonya C. Cook

Title: “Darkness And Light”

Let me start my 2nd book review:

The story started out in a small town on a planet call Krynn. A group of friends came from all sorts of background had lived in this town for years. Everyone had something in life they wanted to pursue. One day, they all decided to each set on their own adventures to explore the land. Thereafter, the story started to focus on 2 of the friends who decided to accompany each other on an adventure up north.

Kitiara seeks riches by being a mercenary while the Sturm wants to find his father and revive his father’s kingdom, his long lost heritage. On their adventure, they met some gnomes and certain mishap happened causing them to end up on the “red moon” they often see from their planet. On the “red moon”, Lunitari, they met magical beings such as cavemen-like trees known as Treefolks, giant red ants made of ruby known as Micones and, Cupelix, a magical brass dragon who seeks to escape from his “home”, a stone prison known as Obelisk which is to make him protect the dragon eggs underneath it.

The whole gang that got trap on Lunitari had to get help somehow and with the Cupelix’s help, they manage to rebuild their flying ship and in return, they broke him free from the stone tower. But the dragon could not make it through the journey back to the planet Krynn, thus only the gang got back and later on went on their separate ways pursuing their goals again. The gnomes, try to find a safer way back to Lunitari and help rescue the dragon to Krynn. Kitiara and Sturm on the other hand had a bicker over their values and decided to go on their separate ways. The story now focuses on Sturm, the knight who wants to revive his heritage. His adventure begins as he met herders, raiders and unscrupulous Wizard-warrior Warlord. Now he gets closer to the truth, the truth of his missing father.

My Opinion:

Overall it was an interesting book with great descriptions such as “the night cloaked the land in darkness” and many more. It was a totally good book and I am looking forward to finding the next volume of it when school reopens. It is an exciting adventure story that definitely should not be missed out. The story makes you want to keep on reading to find out what is going to happen next. The description of character was so detailed you could get an image in your mind just by reading. The storyline is not lame and facial expression of the characters described are things that make it funny, such as “snorted”, “wryly” and many more.

Woots~! I have finished all reviews !!!
