Tittle:Security forces out-armed,out-trained
The Straits Times Section:A3

Thoughts on the article...

As stated in the article, the security forces of mumbai have proved themselves to be ajoke to the terrorist.Details have emerged on the flow of events. It seems taht the mumbai police force were not expecting a terrorist attack thrown at them.they were unequiped and were not trained in combat.A group of not more than ten terrorist can hold siege for 3 days.imagine what will happen if it's alot more than that.I'm sure that this just tells us how important it is to be constantly on the lookout. When i read the article it shocked me when it says that the commando's took 10 hours to take down 2 terrorist and that they even failed to even save the hostages. Why do call themselves that when they can't even live up to their name. They are commandos aren't they and their reason is they did it the way they are trained and the way they always do it.This just shows how selfish they are.

I believe that in this kind of situations no life is much more important than the other. If one life is lost for the continuity of another won't it be worth it.The commandos seem to care for their own survivall more than carrying out their main objective which is to bring down the terrorist as fast as possible.tThey were already late by ten hours but they didn't seem to care. There were innocent lives that were lost. What was done i believe could have been done better.

Something we can get out of this is that we have to always keep up with the times. We have to be constantly updating ourselves on recent happenings and developments.Take this as a learning point to all countries taht terrism is not over and it shouldn't be put aside first due to economic recesion.Even though problems can be prioratised first butt that dos not mean we can put one problem aside first when we are handling another.

We can take this as a lesson so in my opinion all can do their part in preventing terrorism in Singapore...
