Title:Tragic end on the 17th floor
The Sunday Times

Terrorist attack is not new to me, but this is perhaps the first time it hit me so hard. The reason being our Singaporean was killed in this terrorist attack. The impact is great on the people’s heart and I believe it serve as a lesson to many of us. We keep thinking that Singapore is very safe and nothing would happen to it, but we would never know now because Ms Lo Hwei Yen became the first Singaporean to die in a terrorist attack. We ought to stay vigilant, not only in Singapore but everywhere we go. Ms Lo did not deserve to die and she ought not have died if the Mumbai commandos had taken action earlier and not wait till night to combat a attack at the only in their twenties terrorist. The surrounding of the hotel had cause the young terrorist to be even more aggressive and eventually killing the innocent. Singapore government should work hand in hand with India’s government to learn from this attack and not let it have any chance of happening again. Also, all Singaporeans should be vigilant and always be on a look out to any suspicious looking person in public places especially MRT stations to avoid terrorist attack happening to us.
