[MOVIE REVIEW] #1

Movie: Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa

In the sequel to "Madagascar", Alex, Marty, Melman, Gloria, King Julien, Maurice and the penguins and the chimps are back for a wacky adventure. In their efforts to return home to New York, instead they find themselves in the wildest place of all – the vast plains of Africa! For the first time, they encounter with species of their own kind. While discovering their own roots, they are confronted with difficulties and misunderstandings that cause the gang to fall out.

In this sequel, each character has its own storyline. Alex has reconciled with his long-lost parents, and proved to them what it takes to be a real lion. Gloria and Melman have found the love that has always existed. And as Marty struggles to affirm his identity, he finally understood the special gift of friendship.

Tension arises when the only source of water is dried up, leaving animals parched. To save the savannah, Alex and Marty embarked on a jeopardous venture out of the reserve to bring back water to the community, while Melman sacrificed his life for his un-dying love for Gloria. In the event, the group got back together and their friendship remains bonded even closer than ever.

Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa is a light-hearted movie that will capture the hearts of many, child and adults alike with its adorable animations. For those going to catch Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa, get ready for a good laugh.

Is this better than the first one? That is if you have watched the first one. =) Comparing to the rest of cartoons that you have watched, how does this measure up from a scale of 1-10?
