FiveSenses

Walking alone here, you may taste a sense of loneliness and solitude,
As there isn't a single soul around.
Yet, you can also taste how desperate this place wishes to be alive.
The warm colours of the place bring us back to good old memories of the past.
Occasionally, you can hear the clanking of utensils, or even the cheering of students playing around.
The chirping of the birds and the singing of the crickets seem to show us the lively ambience of the surroundings.
Sometimes, you can smell the tantalising aroma of freshly baked muffins.
Other times, all you smell was the fresh moist grass growing happily.
And if you touch the things around, you can easily feel a thick layer of dust gathering on your fingers.
That leaves you wondering, exactly how long have this place been left alone?
Have you guessed where this place is?

I think this is a very tricky writing!i actually it is the canteen but later when i see muffins and thick layer of dust, i realise its our kopi-stop!so the description infront actually resemble canteen but later bring the reader to the correct place with a nice sentence. NICE AROMA OF THE MUFFINS! good job!

Is this place the Home Economics Room? I think this is a good description of the place as you decribed it very clearly{the aroma of the muffins} but at the same time, misleading the reader, just like Shao Ying said, people might think that it is the canteen, but after reading and noticing the "smell of the muffins", they will realise that it is the Home Economics Room as our canteen does not sell muffins. :D

I wonder if its the kopi-stop? Your sentences are pretty interesting but i was misleaded at first but once i see muffins, i guessed it was the kopi stop.
I hope i'm right? :D
