School is...

Late work :/

School is...

School in general, is a place for one to learn, to take in knowledge, to work hard for his/her goals. Everyday, waking up early to go to school, sometimes seems like a chore. However, it always benefits oneself at the end of the day.

Everyday, we have to go through boring lessons, interesting lessons. Especially during upper secondary, the subjects are heavier, and the content gets really boring. The hours I spend in school everyday is quite long, which is around 11 hours. When I get home, there is just a few hours to complete the homework for the day, relax a little, and go to bed. The next day, the same routine happens.

However, your class sitting partners, your friends, would make your day in school happier and livelier. Talking to them during boring lessons, having fun with them after school. Even though this had been happening for these 3 years in Jurong Secondary School, in 1 year's time, we would all have to take our O'level and graduate from this school. Thus, we would have to cherish this opportunities and time.

CCA commitments are also one of the important things in school. They are the areas where you set goals for yourself, and you strive hard to achieve them. Although they take up much time of my everyday life, i'd be able to learn different things each time, to have a strong mentality and mindset.

Studies are nevertheless the main reason why you go to school. I think that people who go to school just for the sake of going, and doesn't work hard to achieve good grades, are actually wasting their time. In Secondary School, at our age, we are old enough to think of what we want, our future, and how we want to achieve them. By studying hard now, it would actually lead us to better choices, and we won't have to suffer as much in the future. So I think that we should make good use of the time in school, even at home, to revise and study.

School is a place for me to set my goals, and to reach my goals. It also sparks my interest in subjects, which leads to what I would want to do in the future. I'd also be able to overcome higher levels of 'difficulties', which includes various forms of stress, pressure, and even sets me thinking more about how to solve the problems. Even though I am piled up to the neck with assignments, commitments, it would help me to organize my time better, to check myself regularly if I am working hard. It also allows me to figure myself out, to know where i would do better, to know the areas i would have to improve on.

This is the place, for me to strive.
